I bet you think this song is about you.

I had quite the adventure the other day. I was in Walgreens for my Covid vaccination (again.) There was a gap between the lot and the sidewalk ramp, so I almost fell out of my wheelchair. I’m getting older and I’m at the point that I could hurt myself falling. This drug store had major staffing issues. FYI if you have to wait for a long time in a store that means that the store didn’t schedule enough people. The Covid vaccine nurse was nowhere to be found. Why is it generally accepted that it’s more than okay to be late for healthcare employees? My time isn’t any less important than theirs. I had some time to kill so I went exploring. I found some cartoon car fresheners with giant eyes that included a whale and a unicorn. As I was trying to go back to the pharmacy, this random guy was on a (broken) computer and completely blocking the aisle. I could see the pharmacy from where I was. I politely and patiently sat there in my wheelchair waiting for this guy to move. It’s not like you couldn’t see me. I was just sitting there. He wouldn’t move. I called him a jerk and turned around to go to the pharmacy that I could see. I went back to the pharmacy and there was this elderly man who was sitting and waiting for his prescription to be filled. I ran over his foot. I’ve done it to myself before so I know that it hurt. I apologized to this guy and he was really nice and cool about it. And the vaccine nurse was still MIA so I just lost it. I was laughing so hard that I started crying. I just wanted a vaccine and so much happened in Walgreens.
