Greed

Medical debt is a huge deal in America. Why do we let greed be the overriding reason to screw people? Something really shitty happens and then you are responsible for medical expenses? I was able bodied for 31 years. I had no idea how bad it really was until I needed the system to work. Why am I forced to interact with a broken system? Why is it okay to do a bad job in the healthcare system? I’m still getting bills for lab work that I shouldn’t be getting because someone didn’t put the paperwork in the computer properly. I experience a hassle because someone else is sub par at their job. How is that fair? It’s somebody’s job who could be “quite quitting” but it’s my actual life. I think it’s often forgotten that actions have real life consequences.

Corporate greed in the healthcare system is insanely prevalent. You need the medication that you are basically being extorted for. So companies can charge you anything for anything because if you need it they can demand anything. It’s like terrorism. Do you remember that guy who raised the price of a prescription drug from approximately $13 to $750 over night? Wake up! It’s not okay and it’s a problem that didn’t always exist. I imagine Keenan Thompson singing “what’s up with that?”

I know good people that became doctors and I know they didn’t sign up to be so messy. At the same time as corporate greed is on the rampage, taxpayers dollars are being spent on stupid hearings. Enough is enough. Can America just be responsible for itself? Show some form of accountability for what it does?
