The Accidental Ableist

Ableism is baked into the system. Jasmine Crockett called the governor of Texas “hot wheels” and that has been repeated by some. Please tell me the difference between Trump imitating and mocking a disabled reporter and Crockett calling Abbott a name that refers directly to his disability. I don’t see one. Talking shit about someone’s disability isn’t okay. Why are disabled people constantly shit on by able bodied folks? I live in an apartment complex that loves to push snow that it’s removing on a ramp for those of us in wheelchairs use. I pay rent too. I can’t leave because I can’t get to the car.
