9 Years
I had 9 years between college and tumor removal. That’s not a long time for anything. I had no idea what was in store for me. I recently reflected and realized that I had 9 years of being a regular adult. I totally and completely flipped out.
I used to ride my bike to and from work. It was 3 miles in total. I used to ride at least 15 miles a week. I used to love to ride. I can’t do it anymore. Thank goodness I was in good shape when the tumor removal happened.
I can’t believe that I’m confronted by this. I wish I had a palatable explanation but I don’t. Looking back, I was having symptoms but never really noticeable. I was still blindsided. Somebody recently said that even if you survive Cancer it still takes away your life. I never thought about it but it’s totally right.
