Healthcare System
I hate the healthcare system. Since my tumor I’ve seen so many doctors. I have no idea how many but too many to count. Why is a Doctor’s time more important than yours? I don’t think I’ve ever had a doctor’s appointment start when it’s scheduled to. Call me old school, but I grew up with the saying, “If you’re early you’re on time. If you’re on time you’re late and if you’re late you’re dead.” That sentiment, in terms of healthcare, goes right out the window. The time I spent waiting, makes my actual visit with the doctor shorter because I’m tired of sitting there. I’m black and unlucky enough to rely on the state for insurance. I’ve received shitty care on top of the situation I was in.
