Cutting

I’m super bad at cutting. I can’t figure out if I’m not applying enough pressure or if the knife I’m using is sharp enough. I’ve basically given up because the sharpness of a particular knife is entirely impossible to identify. I have such a problem and I have no idea what is going on.

I’ve essentially figured out how to avoid it entirely. I like to have bagels in the morning. I’m from New York so my expectations for bagels are high. I don’t get bagels pre-sliced. My mother cuts the bagels and then freezes them so I can just have breakfast on my own time. I don’t have to wait for my mommy to wake up and cut my bagel. I’m not down with and I don’t like packaged bagels.

I also apply my own cream cheese. The whipped cream cheese is the best. It doesn’t take effort to spread it. On plain bagels, I like cream cheese and jelly/jam (what’s the difference?). It’s a really good combination and I recommend it if you haven’t tried it. The jelly/jam is difficult to spread. I have to use a spoon to get the jelly/jam out of its jar. Sometimes it works really well and other times not so much. But I’d for sure rather the whole thing go left then not do it at all.
