Rain

 I hate it when I’m faced with heavy rain. When I was a teacher, kids just would not go to school if it was raining. When it rains heavily I just have to sit there in my wheelchair and feel my legs get soaked. Rain is often cold. It sucks having drenched legs and everything I do from that moment on is uncomfortable.

I can’t hold an umbrella by the handle/base without it wobbling. If I use one hand on the handle and the other in the middle of the pole (?) I can keep it steady. What a problem to have in a time of droughts and floods. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy when it rains. I just happen to have my legs get soaking wet. I can’t even tell you how much of a bummer it is. It’s like going outside in the pouring rain without any type of rain gear. What are you gonna do? It’s just the reality of the situation.
