Pharmaceutical Companies
I live in PA so I’m heavily exposed to the political antics of John Fetterman and Dr. Oz. Fetterman’s most recent add is a video of Dr. Oz trying to sell a miracle weight loss pill. Taking the pill would cause weight loss without diet and exercise. There’s also a video of him under oath saying that a miracle pill doesn’t exist. What is happening? Why are liars politicians?
I watch a lot of tv and therefore a lot of commercials. I find some very entertaining and I’ll send those to a friend. The majority of commercials are for drugs. I don’t even know what they’re for. All that is provided is a name. People go to their doctors and ask about specific drugs.
Peoples health is in the balance. Pharmaceutical companies charge extremely (unreasonably) high prices for medical drugs to people and insurance companies. In what world is that right? I think pharmaceutical companies are booty. A generic epi-pen was going to be released but instead there was some shady profit sharing scheme and a pack of two, name brand epi-pens were sold at a high price instead. Pharmaceutical companies can do whatever they want. There’s nothing in this country that guarantees good behavior and pharmaceutical companies take advantage of that.
The supplement game is crazy. There’s absolutely no regulation. Dr. Oz was peddling a weight loss supplement. I certainly don’t want him representing Pennsylvania. He doesn’t even live here. Ridiculous. We have a snake oil salesman in a Pennsylvania election. Again I ask, What is happening?
