Handwriting
I totally lost the ability to write anything by hand. My letters are legible but it’s so big and ugly. I used to write training guides. I really enjoyed it. I helped open two restaurants and I wrote a dope ass host guide. Suddenly I couldn’t write.
I had to re-learn how to hold a writing utensil. Thank goodness for my therapist. Even though my writing isn’t pretty I’m still grateful that I can do it. Letters are a series of lines. So I do something called stop-go. Every time I draw a line I stop.
I have a hard time with “o,” “e,” “a,” “s.” Really anything with a swirl. Bad things happen when I don’t pick up my pen/pencil. Really think about it. Writing is very hard. I’m so slow. In the time it took me to type this, I probably would have finished writing the first sentence of this post.
Forget about script. The signature of my name (after at least 20 years) is totally different. I have to actively think about what I’m writing for example specific letters. Sometimes it works and other times it doesn’t.
